In AV-TEST’s April 2026 Windows 11 test, Norton 360 26.2/26.3 and Bitdefender Total Security 27.0 each received 6/6 in protection, performance, and usability. That is strong evidence for the tested Windows versions and period. It is not a guarantee that every future release, Mac build, Android app, or customized installation will behave identically.
Independent lab results should be combined with your own compatibility test. Check notifications, game mode, VPN behavior, browser extensions, scans of large files, and whether an existing security tool needs to be removed.

Add the cost of an unlimited VPN if Bitdefender’s 200 MB/day allowance is not enough, and assign a value to Norton’s cloud storage only if you will actually use it.
Save the checkout summary, identify who bills you if you subscribe through an app store or carrier, and verify the refund deadline. A “cheaper” first year can become more expensive over two years after the renewal and VPN differences are included.
